I am late with my organizing and decluttering update on my bathroom! The kids and I had a great day working on the bathroom. We started with the ceilings and worked our way down.
After that we tackled our 2 wall cabinets. Our main bathroom has very limited space so we try to make the most of it. I decided that I wanted to make the shelves look a little nicer so I covered them with shelf contact paper. I liked the result! I also adjusted the shelves so I could put the little tote with drawers in the cabinet for the girls to be able to access easily. I think that small adjustment will really help control the clutter as it is in a cabinet and both big girls can get to it. After putting the shelves back in, we sorted our items into like items and put them back into the cabinets.
Then we moved to the sink and did the little cabinet above the sink and underneath it. I also added shelf contact paper inside the sliding cabinet and the drawers. I’m hoping this will make them easier to keep clean (we have a bit of a toothpaste mess problem with the kids!)
After getting the cabinets and drawers organized and decluttered, I deep cleaned the sink, toilet, mirrors, etc. This project took me a long time to finish but I’m glad it’s done and the bathroom looks so much better! I also found quite a bit to throw out so that is always great too!
I was late getting this update done because we had to go watch our little wrestler last night. The kids had a duel with the neighboring town. I love this picture. (My guy is in the green shirt). The big guy is my little guy’s wrestling buddy/idol. People talk all the time about how our kids are growing up lost, not caring, etc. I see moments like this and I am so thankful that we live in a community where the kids show their great character. I was so proud of both of them (and the other kids on his team).
Jason and I ended the night with a date night so family came first, as it should. Organizing and decluttering our homes for our family is important but it is NOT more important than our family. That is why I try to emphasize do what you can and be happy with that.
How did organizing and decluttering the bathroom go for you?
