Today’s organizing and decluttering challenge was straightening up your home for 30 minutes and finding 15 things to throw away and 10 things to bless someone else with. OR if you had missed a day’s challenge because you were too busy this week, this was your day to catch up on that challenge!
I hope you were able to have a relaxing day today! We had a nice family day. Jason and our oldest son went and watched a little wrestling this afternoon while I took the rest of the clan to the library and then had a visit with my mom. She kept them kids while I made a Target run (and scored some great deals) and came home to a fairly tidy house. It doesn’t get much better than that!
I found my decluttering items that were to be thrown away before we left as I did a quick cleaning inside my purse. There were a few napkins, a bunch of receipts, a candy bar wrapper, and some other random trash. I didn’t take a picture of that, assuming you weren’t very interested in my purse trash!
I then started finding my items to bless others with. I decided to start with blankets. Our kids have more blankets than they know what to do with. They all love soft blankets to cuddle with. However, there is a limit on how many we realistically need. We still have a lot of blankets from when they were babies and my motto today was, “keep the best, bless someone else with the rest.” So the box is completely stuffed with blankets. I also found a few books, a horse Zoobie that the oldest has outgrown, some bath toys, a small backpack and a few VHS movies.
Did you catch up on a day you missed today? If not, were you able to find the items to throw away and to bless others with?
In case you have missed any days in this series, here they are! (Don’t worry you can jump in right where we are in the series and go back later if you want to catch up or just finish out what we’re working on with us! I’m so happy you are joining us in organizing and decluttering your home!)
