Today our challenge was organizing and decluttering the laundry room. I am always happy to have an organized, clean area to do laundry in.
I started with the floors. We had some odds and ends that had gotten stashed to pick up- my tote I take to Moms & Tweens, 2 toy cars, my tool kit, and some trash that had missed the trash can.
I then moved to the surface of the washer and dryer. I usually have a rug sitting on top of them, but it didn’t make it to final pictures because it is in the dryer!
After that cabinet was clean and arranged, I moved a very small storage cabinet next to the dryer. I have been trying new places to post my goals and meal plans and that is what is hanging on the door. I go past the cabinet at least 10 times a day and it’s out of the way of other people who come into our home.
Finally, I did a quick straightening on the shelf where I store some of my kitchen pans, bowls, and Lock and Lock storage containers. I didn’t get too excited about this shelf because I consider it to be part of the kitchen and we’ll be attacking that very soon.
How did you do on organizing and decluttering your laundry room?
