Do you have a successful day of cleaning, organizing, and decluttering your pantry? I hope so! I’m very pleased with my progress with my pantry.
I started by taking all of the contents out of the pantry. I wiped down all of the shelves and admired the emptiness. I then decided to take my own advice and added a shelf to my pantry, making better storage inside of it.
I realized after I was ready to put everything back in that I’m out of label tape for my label maker. Ugh. So I didn’t relabel anything but it is all organized and decluttered. I simplified the storage by combining several bulk items into one container (such as the macaroni that I bought at Sam’s club. I had 4 bags of macaroni that were combined to fit into one container.)
I think what I was most proud of was that I did not have anything that was expired inside! That’s a first for me so by decluttering in December, I did save some money by using up the close to expiring items. (Although I have a bunch of yeast that has an expiration date in the beginning of May so I better get to baking!)
How did you do today? Did you throw out a lot of waste? What is your favorite decluttering or organizing tip for your pantry?
