Today’s organizing and decluttering challenge was organizing and decluttering your recipes! I’m so excited to show you my awesome new recipe book!
I have a tendency to want to do projects (and use the result of my project) when the supplies are pretty. I went to Target and bought this binder for my recipe binder. It’s a 2′ binder and honestly, it may not be big enough as I add recipes, but even if I have to separate into 2 binders, I really liked this one!
I also bought some fun file folders that I made into my dividers for each category. I normally use Post-It flags, but decided I wanted something very durable for this project.
These are the categories I ended up using:
- Appetizers
- Beverages
- Breakfast
- Breads
- Canning & Preserving
- Crock Pot Recipes
- Desserts
- Main Dishes: Beef Recipes
- Main Dishes: Casseroles
- Main Dishes: Chicken Recipes
- Main Dishes: Fish
- Main Dishes: Pork Recipes
- Main Dishes: Turkey Recipes
- Main Dishes: Vegetarian
- Sauces, Spices, & Marinades
- Side Dishes
- Soups & Stews
- Kids- (Homemade Playdoh, Homemade Puffy Paint)
- Miscellaneous- (Body Scrubs, etc)
- Recipes I Want To Try
- Meal Planning (Not recipes, just my meal plans)
I worked on mine for one hour and I am almost done! I’m going to try to finish it before I go to bed tonight. I’d procrastinated on this project for so long, I so excited it’s put together (and that it turned out pretty!)
Were you able to work on your recipes today? Are you inspired to try this?
In case you have missed any days in this series, here they are! (Don’t worry you can jump in right where we are in the series and go back later if you want to catch up or just finish out what we’re working on with us! I’m so happy that you are joining us in organizing and decluttering your home!)
