31 Days Of Decluttering In December: Day 12

December 12, 2013 by Jenny 1 Comment

31DaysDeclutter

Good morning!  We have made it to Day 12 of our 31 Days Of Decluttering In December!  I’m so thankful you have stuck with me this far, we are almost half done.  I have been very excited to see the progress happening in my home!

Today’s challenge is straightening up your home for 30 minutes and find 15 things to throw away and 10 things to bless someone else with.  OR if you have missed a day’s challenge because you were too busy, this is your day to do that challenge!

I know this is different than the previous challenges!  Life has been busy as it always is in December.  As I’ve been focusing on specific decluttering tasks, the time it takes has been taking time away from regular home maintenance and picking up.  (And it takes a LOT of picking up in our home to keep up with our 2-year-old tornado!)  I thought it would be a nice change of pace to have a catch up day and I hope you all feel that way as well.

While you are straightening up your home, grab a trash bag and eliminate any trash that has crept into the house this week.  Make sure you have a box or bag with you for your items you will be blessing others with!

Tomorrow we will go back to our regular decluttering but for today, enjoy the day!

I can’t wait for your updates on your straightening up your home.  What’s more exciting to me is if you missed a day and you are catching up, what day are you catching up on?  If you want to link up, snap a picture and meet back at 6 CST.  For those of you who don’t blog, leave a comment and let me know what you were able to declutter, and hopefully bless someone else with!

I agree, it takes a lot of picking up with a two year old. We call ours hurricane Ann.
