Today’s Challenge was to decluttering the seasonal items you won’t be using again! I’ll admit this was harder for me than I thought it would be. I like to change up the tree every year. Last year I decorated with silver as the main color, this year I am doing purple and gold.
With that said, I have an entire Christmas tree box full of ornaments. Wasteful… probably! However, I do enjoy decorating my tree each year. It was difficult to go through and eliminate what I won’t use again but I made quite a bit of progress. I ended up decluttering 5 boxes full of ornaments, 8 strands of lights, a wreath, a small Nativity set, 3 strands of garland (that didn’t make the picture), and a few ornaments that were just left over. I also threw away 2 broken ones! I spent about 30 minutes on this project and actually think I can downsize my box that I store all of them in for next year into a really large tote. YEA!
How did you do on decluttering your holiday items? I’d love to hear what you found to throw away, bless others, or sell! Please link up or post in the comments!
