Good morning and welcome to Day 9 of our 31 Days of Decluttering! I hope you have been seeing an improvement in the clutter in your home as a result of these short challenges! I have been so blessed to have a few of you email me and fill me in on your results. They have been wonderful!
Today is going to be another crazy, busy day at our house. The kids’ Christmas program is tonight which means mom needs to go shopping. (Am I the only one that has kids that miraculously outgrow their shoes the night before a program?)
I was going to have tackling the linen closet be our challenge today, but then I decided that since it is Meal Plan Monday, we should do something that relates to helping us meal plan. Therefore, today’s challenge is to clean out the refrigerator.
Before I begin, I’m going to unload the dishwasher and fill the sink with hot, soapy water. Next I’ll grab the trash can and my cleaning supplies. Finally I set the timer for 30 minutes and get to work!
As you clean your refrigerator, is there anything in there that needs used up? (Fresh produce, milk or leftovers from a few days ago?) Add it to your menu plan. Do you need to add butter, milk, or eggs to your grocery list? Do it now!
I’m hoping that this task not only blesses you with a clean refrigerator but also blesses you with a partial meal plan and grocery list for this week. Doing this every week on Monday would be a great habit to help you not waste as much food, but also helps with your grocery planning!
If you want to link up, snap a picture and meet back at 6 CST. For those of you who don’t blog, leave a comment and let me know what you were able to add to your meal plan for this week!
