Goals For The Week

Goals For The Week

Whoo hoo for Mondays!  (I know, I’m one of those weird people who are excited to flip to a new page on my planner and see a blank slate, ready to be filled with memories and experiences.)

I have been asked a few times why I share my goals each week.  I do it for a few reasons.

The first is that I hope by listing my goals, it will inspire you to set some goals of your own for the week.  Even if it’s one goal and you finish it, that’s great!  That’s one thing that wasn’t done before!

The second reason is because it’s a great way for me to keep track of my goals.  I can find this post on my smart phone and look up what I have on my list if I find myself with 10 minutes of down time or for those times I’m waiting for Jason.

The final reason is it keeps me accountable.  When I list my goals on the blog, you all see them.  You also can all see how I did the next week.  It  helps keep me motivated because I want to get them finished!

If you are curious about setting goals, try one new goal this week.  (There are links at the bottom of this post to help you get started setting goals).

How was your week last week?  You can read about ours here!  I am really hoping for a week of accomplishing a lot but also a week of building some fun memories.

Last Week’s Goals:

Spiritual Goals:

      • To go to church on Sunday.
      • To pray for each member of my family every day.

Marriage Goals:

        • Have a date night
        • Write a love note to Jason
        • Clean our Master Bedroom!

Parenting Goals:

      • Spend 15 minutes individually each day with the kids helping them work on something that they are struggling on at school, snuggling, or doing a fun project.
      • Write a love note to each child.
      • Figure out when we can have Maddie’s birthday party. It’s hard to believe she will be turning 12 in a little over a month! You can read 12 Things I Wish I’d Known As A New Mom here! One thing for sure is that kids really do grow up fast.
      • Schedule next Tiger Cubs meeting. It was scheduled and now is being rescheduled due to Nora’s eye appointment this week.  So we’ll try again this week!

Family Goals:

      • Take the kids swimming and enjoy our “family day”.
      • Head to the library for new books and dvd’s.

Homemaking Goals:

      • Go through kitchen quotes
      • Create a meal plan and stick to it.
      • Make a list for ALDI
      • Print out pictures from this last weekend
      • Take aluminum cans to recycling
      • Take 3 bags of stuff to donate to charity

Self-Care:

      • Drink 6 glasses of water each day. I bought some new stickers off of Etsy to remind me that go in my planner. I did much better on this but I wasn’t perfect every day.  It’s a new week!  I’m going to try harder this week!
      • Take care of my dry hands and skin.
      • Get on the elliptical two times.

Personal Goals:

        • To write at least 500 words a day.
        • Read Chapters 11-13 in Clutter Free: Quick and Easy Steps to Simplifying Your Space
        • Read Chapter 4 and write up discussion questions for Facebook Group of 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess. Going to work on Facebook Group today!
        • Read Chapter 4 and 5 of Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World

Womenwithintention.com Goals:

        • Write 5 posts
        • Have a power hour
        • Pin posts from Women With Intention Wednesdays  Haven’t finished yet but I have it scheduled!

Making sure everyone gets enough sleep is a huge goal for me these days. It makes a world of difference with my 3.5 year old!

Although I’m not so good at succeeding on that goal for myself these days 😉

You did really well with your goals last week, so many items crossed off, that must feel so good.

At our house this week, I’m hoping to try a new recipe with the kids and get some website items done. Hopefully by the end of the week, I’ll have lots of my goals crossed off like you did for this week.

    Have a great week!
