A tree is known by its fruit; a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.
Saint Basil
When was the last time you were having a hard day and someone showed you kindness? Chances are it may not have solved your problem, but it did make you feel better.
What do you think of when you hear the word kindness? Is it tenderness, affection, courtesy, gentleness, grace, hospitality, patience, sympathy or understanding?
Maybe you think of the phrase “random acts of kindness” or “pay it forward”.
Being kind is mentioned in the Bible many times. God wants us to be a light for others, to offer affection and grace, and to bring him glory in the process. I’ve found in my journey that not only do I feel better about life when I am kind to others but it also gives me a sense of purpose and direction.
Each day in April, there will be a new verse about kindness, a quote about kindness and a small kindness challenge. Whether you decide to do 31 acts of kindness or 1, each one matters and I know you will feel wonderful after completing them!
I hope you are ready to join in starting tomorrow (April 1st) for this new series.

Sounds like a fun project, Jenny. I appreciate your focus on biblical kindness. Those little things that bless others may be unexpected, but they aren’t “random.” We can be purposeful about being kind because God is kind to us all the time.

I like to focus on having a more pleasant attitude with others, and smile more often. And when I can tangibly do it, buy someone coffee! 🙂
