We made it through the first month of the year! How are you doing on your goals? If you’ve fallen off the wagon, how or why did that happen? Do you need to adjust your goals? It’s better to make adjustments than to just give up!
Last week I spent 3 different days in the doctor’s office with sick kids. That ate up almost all of my extra “free” time. After getting prescriptions for ear infections and some prednisone, I think we’re finally on the road to feeling better! There’s nothing like going to the doctors office and the nurse says, “Oh you’re back…again.”
Yeah, that was my week. Cheers for a new week!
Last Week’s Goals:
Spiritual Goals:
- To go to church on Sunday. Sick…again.
To pray for each member of my family every day.
Marriage Goals:
Have an in-home date night this weekWrite a love note to Jason
- Read 2 Chapters in Happy Habits for Every Couple. I received this book from Kathi to review and I’m so excited about it!
Parenting Goals:
Spend 15 minutes individually each day with the kids helping them work on something that they are struggling on at school, snuggling, or doing a fun project.Write a love note to each child
Family Goals:
- Read 5 chapters in The Original Adventures of Hank the Cowdog. We didn’t quite get 5 chapters done. Closer to 3 but it’s a start.
Make cards for Great Grandma’s birthday
Homemaking Goals:
Declutter 10 objects each day.Find 8 things to list on Facebook to sell and get them on it.Create a meal plan and stick to it.- Clean book shelf and list 5 books on paperbackswap.com.
Self-Care:
Find one activity each day to increase movement.Take care of my dry hands and skin.- Get on the elliptical three times. Between being sick myself and the kids being sick this didn’t happen. I’ll be trying again this week.
Personal Goals:
To write at least 500 words a day.- Read Chapters 11-13 in Clutter Free: Quick and Easy Steps to Simplifying Your Space
Read Chapter 5 & 6 in Quitter: Closing the Gap Between Your Day Job & Your Dream JobRead Chapter 2,get ready for implementing my “7” foods next week and write up discussion questions for Facebook Group of 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess.

- Research Aldi- I’m going shopping there in a few weeks for the first time when we take Nora to the vision therapist. I’m super excited about it..yes things like that do it for me!
Self-Care:
- Give up 7 foods for a week to go along with 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess
- Take care of my dry hands and skin.
- Get on the elliptical three times.
