Goals For The Week

October 27, 2014 by Jenny 1 Comment

Goals For The Week

Welcome to a new week, intentional women!  How did you do on your goals last week?  I was very happy with my goals except for progressing on my blogging goals!  Although, I did get my posts done for my 31 Days series, I didn’t get nearly what I was hoping to on the rest of the goals.  (Don’t you wish sometimes you had 2 or 3 clones so you could get everything done?)

This week is Halloween week which means fun, candy, and lots of family time!  The kids don’t have school on Thursday or Friday for Fall Break so we are doing their Halloween parties at school on Wednesday.  Halloween is always the party I help with at school.  Our kids have a movie party for Christmas, go somewhere fun for Valentine’s and Halloween is the one party they stay at school, play games, and have a lot of fun.  I think it’s very neat that our school does different things for different holidays but the kids love dressing up and I love their excitement, so Halloween is my party.  This year I’m in charge of a few games and of course we’ll bring treats (and maybe a trick!)

Last Week’s Goals:

Intentional Relationships (Marriage/Parenting/Mentoring/Friendships):

1. Have a date night with Jason.

2. Read with the twins EVERY day and go through their sight words/math homework EVERY day.

3. Have a celebration supper.  We will be marking off another milestone on our way to completing a big family goal.

Intentional Homemaking:

4. Get home building binder together and ready to meet builder.

5. Clean home for Tiger Cubs.

6. Sand down vanity bench.  I found one for $10 that I’m going to sand down, paint, and put on a new cushion for our middle daughter

Intentional Self-Care:

7. Exercise 4 times & 6 glasses of water each day

Intentional Blogging:

8. Rewrite my About Me page

9. Continue 31 Days Of Intentional Living series.

10. Rewrite 3 days of 31 Days Of Decluttering In December  I’m going to be doing this series again this year but tweaking it from last year.  I got one day done!  It’s a start!

11. Spend 15 minutes on Pinterest each day. Have you followed me yet?  If not, this week I’m pinning to my Home Inspiration- Lighting (I didn’t get anything done on this one last week), Recipes-Freezer Cooking, Emergency Preparedness, Farmhouse Love!  I didn’t focus in as much on Pinterest as I wanted to, but I did do a little.

12. Get 1/2 through Unit 3 in my class. NOPE

This Week’s Goals:

Intentional Relationships (Marriage/Parenting/Mentoring/Friendships):

1. Have a date night with Jason.

2. Read with the twins EVERY day and go through their sight words/math homework EVERY day.  We’re also working on left/right directions to help develop Nora’s skills with directionality.

3. Get everything ready for Halloween party at school.

Intentional Homemaking:

4. Send builder shower ideas

5. Clean home for Tiger Cubs.  We ended up not having it last week because the other cub’s Mom got sick so trying again this week!

6. Prime and paint vanity bench.  This bench is a project!  I’ve had to repair on each side with wood putty.  I can’t wait to see it complete though!  I also need to find fabric for the cushion.

Intentional Self-Care:

7. Exercise 3 times & 6 glasses of water each day

Intentional Blogging:

8. Finish tweaking the About Women With Intention page.  I rewrote it last week and I have a few revisions to do before it’s complete.

9. FINISH 31 Days Of Intentional Living series.  I’m letting you all know that after Friday I’m taking the entire weekend off of blogging!  I’ve loved this series but I’m ready for a small break!

10. Rewrite 2 days of 31 Days Of Decluttering In December  I’m going to be doing this series again this year but tweaking it from last year.

11. Spend 15 minutes on Pinterest each day. Have you followed me yet?  If not, this week I’m pinning to my Home Inspiration- Lighting, Recipes-Freezer Cooking, Emergency Preparedness, Farmhouse Love, and Thanksgiving!

12. Get 1/2 through Unit 3 in my class.

What are your goals for the week? Have you written them down? I have noticed with my goals that have been on there about 4 weeks have become habits when I have done them consistently! I highly encourage you to try it out!

How fun to be building your own home. Sometimes I think that building would be awesome! I am sure that there is a ton of work that goes in to building though. Have fun thinking about shower ideas this week!
