Today’s final decluttering challenge was to go through your office for 30 minutes. I left this very vague for a reason, not everyone has an office, but everyone has paper, office supplies, and office gadgets to organize and declutter.
My main area of focus today was on putting Jason’s farm paperwork away (putting it all together, his filing system is REALLY unorganized…like gallon size Ziplock bags unorganized) and going through the kids’ artwork pieces and taking pictures of some of the best to make into a book later on in a year. (This is one of their homemade Christmas presents for next year!)
After I did that, I started going through a stack of my papers that I’d been saving which contained recipes, ripped out magazine articles, and other paper mess. Some of it I threw away and the rest got me thinking about creating a Home Management Binder. (We’ll be visiting this in 2014 as I know many of us could greatly benefit from having one!)
How did you do today on your final challenge? I hope you enjoyed this series as much as I did. I still have many, many things to get out of our home, but this definitely helped. Which project made the biggest difference in your home? I think for me it was Day 1, decluttering the holiday items. It’s been on my list for a long time and in the next few days when I take down my tree and put away the Christmas items I’m going to seriously consider each item as I put it away.
