2015 is a year of less and more at Women With Intention. January’s theme is less debt, more money. Would You Like To Save Almost $1400 This Year? It all starts with $52 this week.
If one of your goals or resolutions for 2015 is saving money, here is one way to build up your savings this year. I’m sure many of you have seen different 52 Week Money Saving Challenges on Pinterest and the web. I love the different ways bloggers have gotten creative on ways to help others save money.
I put together this savings challenge last year after looking at several different challenges. Some used less money on a weekly basis but didn’t end up with as much money saved at the end.
I chose this challenge because $1,378 is enough money to fund an emergency fund, pay for Christmas, your next vacation, or apply to your taxes next year.
Another option is to print out the table and put it somewhere you see it often like your planner, refrigerator, or goals poster. Each week, choose an amount to put into your savings and mark that week off with a check mark or cross it out with a marker. This would work especially well if you come across an unexpected bill but still want to continue funding your savings.
If you were to complete the savings challenge and had $1,378 at the end of 2015, what would you use that money for? Comment below!
