Refresh And Renew Your Spring Cleaning With Natural Products

Refresh and Renew Your Spring Cleaning WIth Natural Cleaning Products

Guest Post from Brittany of Overdue Organizing

Spring has finally arrived! We’ve had a handful of warm days here in Indiana, and I’m so glad this long winter is finally over. Spring always brings me a renewed sense of energy (and a desire to clean ALL the things!).
This year my spring cleaning will look a little different. I’ve been trying to incorporate more natural cleaning products into my routine and buy less chemical-laden cleaners. One major reason for this change is that I suffer from allergies and asthma & have a very difficult time breathing in all the chemicals from traditional store bought cleaners. (In the past, I would have to leave the room or go outside if my husband was mopping or cleaning the bathrooms with strong cleaners). With a baby that’s about to take off crawling any day now, that’s just one more reason for us to eliminate harmful chemicals from our cleaning routine.
Recently I became a wholesale member of Young Living so that I could purchase essential oils at a discounted price. I’ve incorporated them into my daily routine in many ways to support wellness, and I’ve been researching how to make my own natural cleaners. We’ve also stopped using candles and air fresheners & use an essential oil diffuser instead to fill our home with fragrance (that doesn’t cause headaches or make me sick!).
Here are some of my favorite “recipes” for cleaning and refreshing your home:
Citrus All Purpose Cleaner

Wood Floor Cleaner

Soft Scrub for Sinks & Bathtubs

Toilet Cleaning Bombs

Garbage Disposal Fizzies

How to Steam Clean a Microwave

Dish Soap and Hand Soap

All Natural Glass Cleaner

Non-toxic & Reusable Disinfecting Wipes

Chemical Free Liquid Laundry Detergent

How to Clean a Front Load Washer

Scented Dryer Balls

Smelly Shoe Solution

Lemon & Lavender Linen Spray

The Easiest Way to Clean Toys

Have you tried making your own cleaners at home? What are your go-to recipes?
