We all have accomplishments everyday. Sometimes it’s passing a hard class, surviving a hard day with a difficult child, not burning dinner, not telling your boss off at work, or staying within your budget. Accomplishments can be small or large!
I had a really hard time coming up with an accomplishment that I’m proud of for this link up.
One of my issues was that I didn’t want come off as arrogant. So I hope that no one thinks that at the end of this post!
The other part of my dilemma was that it’s been awhile since I’ve been in the “working” world where it’s easier to see accomplishments! When I was working it was easy to say, “Yes I landed a big account today” or “I made my goal of selling _____”. Somehow saying, ” I scrubbed the toilets today” didn’t seem as successful! (But it is an accomplishment within itself when you’re a busy, struggling stay at home mom!)
Guess what? Being a mom is one of my greatest accomplishments, being Jason’s wife is another one. I’m so proud of both! Today I’m focusing on my accomplishment of being a mom!
I’ve been a working mom and a stay at home mom. Marrying a farmer and being the unofficial right hand man, I’m basically a work from home mom.
Being a mom is not an easy job, no matter what your work designation is! Being the mom God designed me to be is even harder.
Some days are messy! Whether a child learns how to open the refrigerator and helps himself to a nice cold pitcher of cherry Kool-Aid, or a child comes home from school sad that “no one likes me” while your mom heart shatters into a million pieces, or your other toddler indulges in a package of Oreo cookies while you’re mopping up the cherry Kool-Aid, leaving a smooshed, gooey trail behind her (and on her) messes happen. It takes a strong heart and patience to get through these days. I know, I’ve been there!
Others are full of new beginnings and opportunities. This is where my mom heart overflows, usually including tears of gratitude, joy, or pure bliss.
Yet other days are so frustrating I wonder what was God’s plan, even though I know his way is the right way. No one said life is easy but getting through those days is a major accomplishment in itself as you fall into bed exhausted and overwhelmed.
Each day of motherhood is a new adventure, a new gift to open (sometimes wishing you could exchange the gift for a better version of the day) but a gift nonetheless.
I’ve learned patience as my baby’s lungs developed in the NICU (3 times), a toddler learn to walk, and helped a struggling 6-year-old learn how to add and subtract.
I’ve learned to roll with it when my children haven’t had the same ideas I wanted them too. (Having a 3-year-old who’s independent as they come when it comes to “fashion” will demand this attitude or you will go crazy.)
Being a mom is one of my hardest and most wonderful and meaningful accomplishment of my life. I’m so proud of my children and how they have helped me grow as a woman.
Think about what you accomplished today? My guess is there is are many you never thought of! What is one accomplishment you are proud of? If you want to blog about an accomplishment you are proud of we’d love to have you in our link-up!

I think being a mom is not only a work in progress kind of job, but also a work in progress kind of accomplishment. It seems never ending, but taking a moment to reflect just as you have done here, you see all of the accomplishments you have achieved in all of those beautiful faces! Good job, Mom!

I don’t think we give our “momhood” enough credit. I’m like, “I kept a kid alive” is the climax of my parenting accomplishment on most days. Laundry or scrubbing the bathroom are legit accomplishments some days! But being a mom, and all that entails, and all that God wants for you in that role… and not giving up… is quite the accomplishment! Thanks for the reminder.

I think that is a great accomplishment to be proud of! I am in awe of all mothers. Raising kids is no small feat.
I had a hard time picking one thing as well. I didn’t want to appear boastful or braggy.
