My “One Word” for 2014 is the word, present! Therefore, each Monday I list my intentional, present goals for the week. My goals are broke down into relationship, homemaking, self-care, and blogging.
Last Week’s Goals:
Intentional Relationships (Marriage/Parenting/Mentoring/Friendships):
1. Have weekly date night with Jason & write love note
2. Complete 4 days of summer school with the kids. My kids like doing “school” activities in the summer. We have some fun activities planned so I’m looking forward to this!
3. Send 2 handwritten cards– haven’t gotten in the mail yet so I’m not going to mark them as done but almost!
Intentional Homemaking:
4. Make list of educational plans for next week & buy any items needed
5. Help oldest daughter complete 2 4-H cooking projects– we got one done
6. Water Garden
7. Try 2 new recipes Both were good and will get them on the blog this week!
8. Read the following books to the kids (these were the books they chose at the library last week…we’ve read all of the owl books now several times but they are favorites so we’ve checked them out multiple times. That’s one of my favorite things about the library!):
If You’re A Monster And You Know It
See You Later Excavator (Planet Reader)
Batman is Brave! (DC Board Books)
Intentional Self-Care:
8. Read 2 chapters in The Mission of Motherhood: Touching Your Child’s Heart of Eternity by Sally Clarkson (One of my favorite books ever. I’ve read it before, but it always gets my heart prepared for summer vacation and my focus on why I am a mom!)
9. Take 5 walks, drink 24 oz of water daily, and eat fruit for snacks
10. Make homemade foot scrub. I forgot to do this yesterday when I had time but will definitely do this week. My feet are dry already from wearing flip-flops!
Intentional Blogging:
11. Write 2 blog posts I’m trying to get a summer routine established for blogging with having the kids home. It’s been challenging so I’m hoping to get a routine down soon
12. Blog about one of the activities I do with the children or a DIY project from Pinterest started the post but haven’t finished it yet!

Great job with your goals as well! Wearing flip flops is so worth the dry feet isn’t it?! I would live in flip flops if I could.
4-h projects. That takes me back. I loved doing 4-h when I was in school! Have fun working on the project with your daughter.
