Goals Of The Week

December 2, 2013 by Jenny 3 Comments

Goals for the week

I was very pleased with the progress I made last week on my goals.  I’m intentionally working hard this week to be as productive as last week.  I hope you are all working on goals of your own, it feels so great to get them crossed off the list!

Last Week’s Goals:

Intentional Relationships (Marriage/Parenting/Mentoring/Friendships):

1. Continue working on reading with the twins at least 3 nights. 2. Celebrate Thanksgiving and the twins birthday 3. Send 3 hand written cards 4. Have Date Night with Jason & text him a note of appreciation

Intentional Homemaking:

5. Put up Christmas decorations 6. Complete 75% of Christmas shopping by end of this week

Intentional Self-Care:

7. Get 8 hours of sleep 5 days this week  I did finally get this accomplished but last night was back to 6 so I’m definitely going to have to keep plugging away at this one! 8. Exercise 2 times (small steps, right?)

Intentional Blogging:

9. Put posts on Pinterest Nope, didn’t have enough time! 10. Blog M-F at least 1 post each day.

This Week’s Goals:

Intentional Relationships (Marriage/Parenting/Mentoring/Friendships):

1. Continue working on reading with the twins at least 3 nights.

2. Keep up on our Elf on the Shelf- (our Elf is not being naughty this year and finding things that are “good” are actually harder than the “naughty”… She’s going to be sending a lot of notes and bringing little treats for good behavior.

3. Have Date Night with Jason & text him a note of appreciation

4. Work on handmade gifts for the kids

5. Read 8 Great Dates for Moms and Daughters: How to Talk About True Beauty, Cool Fashion, and…Modesty! (Secret Keeper Girl) and  have first meeting for our mother-daughter group with the mom’s to get the group going.  So excited to intentionally be spending some time with my oldest daughter!

Intentional Homemaking:

6.  Complete the challenges for 31 Days of Decluttering in December

7.  Finish Christmas shopping

8. Wash all bedding

Intentional Self-Care:

9. Get at least 7 hours of sleep 5 days this week

10. Exercise 2 times (small steps, right?)

Intentional Blogging:

11. Continue 31 Days of Decluttering in December series 12. Pin 5 posts on Pinterest

What are your goals for the week?  Have you written them down?  How did you do with your goals last week? Your challenge:  Intentionally take 5 minutes and write down 5 goals you want to accomplish this week!  What are they?  Feel free to post in the comments or link up and we can encourage one another!

Great goals! Once the new year starts I want to break mine into categories each week. For now the 4 or 5 basic ones are good though. You should blog about your homemade gifts for the kids – I’m curious as to what they are. Going to bed early is something I’ve really had to work on, too many late nights and a baby that doesn’t sleep well (last night was especially bad, but thankfully I was in bed before 10) can really do me in.

This past week we decorated our house too. I have most of my shopping done, just a few more purchases and then I’m done. I’m right there with you on getting enough sleep. I tend to get up on time each day but then some nights I stay up way too late. I hope you have a productive week.
