This is one of my Dad’s favorite holiday desserts. It can be made with different flavors of pudding (chocolate is what I’m making for this Christmas but butterscotch is also very good!) I hope you enjoy this as much as we do!
First Layer:
1 c. flour
1/2 c. oleo
1/2 c. chopped nuts (I use walnuts)
Combine ingredients and spread into a 9″ x 13″ pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 350º. Cool.
Second Layer:
1- 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. Cool Whip
Soften cream cheese. Add powdered sugar and Cool Whip. Mix well and spread over cooled crust
Third Layer:
2 packages of instant pudding mix
3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix any flavor of instant pudding with the milk and vanilla. Beat mixture until it begins to thicken. Pour over the second layer and cool.
Fourth Layer:
1 c. Cool Whip
chopped nuts
Top with cool Whip and nuts sprinkled on the top. Refrigerate.
