We have been preparing for summer for a week! I hope you are feeling a little more organized and ready for school to be out! So far this week we’ve put away all of the winter sweaters and clothing, scarves, mittens, hats, and gloves and now it is time to get out any summer clothing that you have had stored away!
If these clothes need washed and laundered, this is your day to do it! A tip to help you prepare for summer vacation is to go through each family member’s clothing and take out all of the clothing that no longer fits from the previous year (and decide whether to keep for another member of the family, sell it or donate it while you are doing it) before you need these clothing items. This helps so you can be intentional with your shopping and know what you need to be buying (hopefully on sale since you are organized) at your favorite stores or garage sales.
Because we are preparing for summer, this is also your day to take note of any summer items you need to buy. I went through my daughter’s closet last week and realized that there weren’t a pair of shorts in there that would fit this year. She has grown 2 sizes this year and is in definite need of both good shorts and play shorts. Other summer items you may need are swimming suits, sandals or summer sporting uniforms or accessories. For example, do you need items to complete a baseball uniform such as baseball pants or socks?
Here is a free printable shopping list for you to use to get organized as well!
I hope this will be a quick process for you and after today you will finished with putting away all winter Clothing and have all summer clothing clean and organized! I also hope that the list will help you be organized with shopping sales and by knowing exactly what you need!
