March 2014 Goals & February Update

My One Word of 2014 is “present” so besides setting intentional goals for this year, I’m also setting goals in which I am going to be present for.  Here is my February update and March goals are after that!

February Recap:

Intentional, Present Marriage Goals:

  • Continue Weekly Date Nights
  • Continue Weekly Love/Appreciation Notes
  • Encourage Jason daily

Intentional, Present Parenting:

  • Participate in Moms & Tweens & Continue To Lead With Brenda Through May (We Will Evaluate Then What To Do In The Fall)
  • Work with the twins on their reading skills 3 times a week
  • Do a fun activity with the kids each week whether it’s a craft, go somewhere fun, reading, etc.
  • Read aloud Curious George, Owls in the Family, Owl at Home: I Can Read Level 2 (I Can Read Book 2), and Nate the Great and the Monster Mess to the kids

Intentional, Present Self-Care:

  • Exercise 3 Times Each Week For At Least 20 Minutes- Totally dropped the ball on the exercising.  I really want to work on this in March!
  • Read 3 books: Say Goodbye to Survival Mode: 9 Simple Strategies to Stress Less, Sleep More, and Restore Your Passion for Life, Blog at Home Mom: Balancing Blogging and Motherhood, and The Life Ready Woman: Thriving in a Do-It-All World
  • Read Through Exodus- I’m about done
  • Catch up on Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit by Beth Moore (affiliate link, see more about this at the end of the post)- I missed so much of this while the kids were sick I’m going to drop it as a goal as of  now because of time constraints but plan to pick it up in the summer.
