Goals For The Week

February 3, 2014 by Jenny 1 Comment

My Goals For The Week

I came home last week refreshed and ready to accomplish all of my goals…unfortunately I also came home to one child throwing up, followed by 6 more days of people doing just that, including myself.  Therefore, most of my goals didn’t even get thought about let alone accomplished.  I’m crossing my fingers but finally yesterday, everyone was feeling pretty good again and I am hoping to have a successful week of getting some things crossed of my goals list.

Last Week’s Goals:

Intentional Relationships (Marriage/Parenting/Mentoring/Friendships):

1. Have weekly date night with Jason & write love note  No date night, but I did send him a text full of admiration after he completely ran the house for 2 days while I was sick.

2. Have kids help me cook one meal all together  We did a lot of cooking this weekend for the Super Bowl.  We had a lot of fun and each got some one on one cooking with mom.

3. Continue working on reading with the twins at least 3 nights.  Not sure how we managed this but we did do it!

Intentional Homemaking:

4. Catch back up on laundry Amazing what one day can do with a Mega Wash laundry machine!  I only have one load waiting to be washed!

5. Spend 20 minutes with the kids after school each day without any form of electronic devices.  A few days we did a great job with this and the rest of the week was a blur.  Will be trying again this week.

6. Find 4 bags of things to get rid of.  Then call local consignment store about selling toys and baby clothes and take in a tote full if possible.  No…No…No…

Intentional Self-Care:

7. Exercise 3 times this week No…No…No…

8. Call doctor on sinus infection (I developed on the airplane coming home yesterday) hopefully since I was just in before we left she’ll give me a new script without going in.  I called but need to go back in.  The day after I called she was out of the office and then I got sick.  Hopefully will go the beginning of this week.

Intentional Blogging:

9. 5 new posts this week

10. Go through 2 older posts and put on Pinterest  Nope

11. Finish Hands Free Mama & write review Nope

This Week’s Goals:

Intentional Relationships (Marriage/Parenting/Mentoring/Friendships):

1. Have weekly date night with Jason & write love note

2. Do a Tea Party with Maddie to complete Date #1 of 8 Great Dates for Moms and Daughters: How to Talk About True Beauty, Cool Fashion, and…Modesty!  and then have a Tea Party at home with the rest of the kiddos.

3. Continue working on reading with the twins at least 3 nights and work on shoe tying 3 nights as well.

Intentional Homemaking:

4. Put all clean laundry away

5. Spend 20 minutes with the kids after school each day without any form of electronic devices.

6. Find 2 bags of things to get rid of.  Then call local consignment store about selling toys and baby clothes and take in a tote full if possible

Intentional Self-Care:

7. Exercise 2 times this week

8. Go to doctor for headaches/sinuses

Intentional Blogging:

I love the title of your blog – what a great thing to live with intention! 🙂 I found you through Money Saving Mom’s goals linkup. What a great list of goals! Your post reminded me that I need to call my local consignment store as well – I love it for making a few dollars as I get rid of extra stuff. 🙂 Have a great week!
