Goals Of The Week

March 9, 2015 by Jenny Leave a Comment

Goals For The WeekIt’s Monday! I half jokingly told one of my best friends last week I didn’t know what was going on this week because I hadn’t flipped to a new page in my planner.

The last few weeks have been extremely busy as we’ve added a day of travel for Nora’s eye appointments once a week.

We had a scare last week when one of my dad’s cows decided to try to maul my dad so we spent most of the weekend back and forth visiting him and helping him out.  He ended up with some broken ribs (very painful) and a lot of bruises.

The kids had a great weekend where we went swimming for Maddie’s birthday party with my mom and step dad and then an overnight with my dad.  Needless to say they were exhausted last night!

I’m totally excited about this coming week!  The kids have spring break Thursday and Friday.  I love the days they’re home!  I’m looking forward to beautiful weather and a little break.

I am a busy woman, just like you! Here are 7 tips for when life is crazy, busy!

How was your week last week?

Last Week’s Goals:

Spiritual Goals:

    • To go to church on Sunday. We ended up being out of town helping my dad so that didn’t happen.
    • To pray for each member of my family every day. I missed a few days this week but still progress!

Marriage Goals:

    • Have a date night
    • Write a love note to Jason
    • Put new bedding on our bed, dust bedroom, vacuum, and add something pretty to our master bedroom.

    • Read 1 Chapter in Happy Habits for Every Couple.

Parenting Goals:

    • Schedule in 3 “fun” things to do with the kids this week. I’m planning on taking them swimming, going to see some family, and letting them choose a fun activity that we all agree on.
    • Write a love note to each child.
    • Work on sight words with the twins and work with David on his 4 sight words.
    • Order Maddie’s birthday cake, buy balloons, and have a party with her friends!
    • Schedule next Tiger Cubs meeting.

Family Goals:

    • Make sure everyone gets enough sleep.
    • Start on our first family service project for the year.

Homemaking Goals:

    • Catch up on all laundry on Tuesday.
    • Create a meal plan and stick to it.
    • Take aluminum cans to recycling
    • Take 3 bags of stuff to donate to charity
    • Finish decluttering Nora’s room. I worked on this yesterday and all that’s left is under her bed (it’s scary under there!)

Self-Care:

    • Drink 6 glasses of water each day. I bought some new stickers off of Etsy to remind me that go in my planner. I hope that will help! 🙂
    • Take care of my dry hands and skin.
    • Get on the at least elliptical two times.

Personal Goals:

    • Finish Clutter Free: Quick and Easy Steps to Simplifying Your Space
    • Read Chapter 5 & 6 and write up discussion questions for Facebook Group of 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess.
    • Read Chapter 6 & 7 of Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World

This Week’s Goals:

Spiritual Goals:

      • To go to church on Sunday.
      • To pray for each member of my family every day.

Marriage Goals:

        • Have a date night
        • Write a love note to Jason
        • Put new bedding on our bed, dust bedroom, vacuum, and add something pretty to our master bedroom.  I will get this done on Wednesday!!

      • Read 1 Chapter in Happy Habits for Every Couple.

Parenting Goals:

      • Schedule in 3 “fun” things to do with the kids this week. I’m planning on taking them to the park, on a nature walk, and since we went to The Cheesecake Factory today, we brought home a few slices for them to taste test!
      • Write a love note to each child.
      • Work on sight words with the twins and work with David on his 4 sight words.
      • Order Nora’s new reading bifocals.  She only has to wear them for reading.  It’s the first part of retraining her focusing.  We go back in for the test results in a week and a half.

Family Goals:

      • Make sure everyone gets enough sleep.
      • Complete on our first family service project for the year.  We’re picking up roadside trash by our house.

Homemaking Goals:

      • Catch up on all laundry on Tuesday.
      • Create a meal plan and stick to it.
      • Take 3 bags of stuff to donate to charity
      • Finish decluttering Nora’s room. I worked on this yesterday and all that’s left is under her bed (it’s scary under there!)
      • Sort out all of Ari’s 3T clothing.
