For those of you who follow Women With Intention on Facebook, I’ve been noticing some problems with the Facebook feed.
As we all know, Facebook changes its policies and practices all the time. When I post on Facebook, many of the posts are only being seen by less than 20 of you (sometimes 5 of you)! Facebook seems to be really trying to get businesses to “promote” their pages (also known as pay for people to see them). With this being a new blog, I can’t afford to do that but I do want you all to have access to my updates!
I’ve been playing around on Facebook a little bit and if you don’t want to miss my updates, here are a two suggestions to hopefully improve the probability of seeing my updates:
- By “Liking” a post or commenting on a post sometimes, it seems to keep the updates showing up in your feed.
- If you go the “Liked” button on Women With Intention and click on “Add to Interest Links” you will create a name for a list. I named mine “Blogs I follow.” After you add that list, when you are on your homepage of Facebook, scroll down to “Interests” on the left hand sidebar and you will find that list. Supposedly, every blog that I add to the list will have their updates on it. You can do this for all of the pages that are your favorites and have a much better chance of seeing your favorites! (This is also nice with the blogs who share deals too because many of them are so time-sensitive!)
If you have any other tips, please share them in the comments. I am so humbled that you take the time to visit here and on Facebook!
