Reading has always been a hobby of mine that I love to pursue!  (Sometimes at the expense of other tasks that I probably should be doing!)  I am a born learner and love non-fiction (which makes me smile because I hated it when I was younger!) Each year I make a goal of how many books I’m going to read.  In 2012, I read many more books than I had on my goal list.  This year, I started reading on the kindle on my phone while I exercised on the elliptical and didn’t do a very good job of keeping track of what I had read.  I don’t think I’m going to quite hit my target of 36 books.  I’m already preparing my list for next year and will be sharing it with you at the end of the month.

Here is my December 2013 Reading List:

 Cold Tangerines: Celebrating the Extraordinary Nature of Everyday Life by Shauna Niequest  (I just ordered her book Bread & Wine: A Love Letter to Life Around the Table with Recipes after a few friends recommended it.

8 Great Dates for Moms and Daughters: How to Talk About True Beauty, Cool Fashion, and…Modesty! (Secret Keeper Girl)This is the book that we are using for the creation of my daughters mother-daughter group.  This is my book to read by this coming Thursday!  We have our first mom’s meeting later this week!  I’m looking forward to the intentional time spent between a group of moms and their daughters!

 Life Management for Busy Women: Living Out God’s Plan with Passion and Purpose

1. Idol Lies: Facing the Truth about Our Deepest Desires by Dee Brestin- This is one of my bible studies this year.
2.  Teach Yourself VISUALLY WordPress  – I use WordPress for the blog and it has actually been far more confusing than I thought it would be! 🙂
3.  The 4 Seasons of Marriage: Secrets to a Lasting Marriage by Gary Chapman (I’m reading this on the Kindle version).
