Today is a fun day! Sometimes during the holidays, life can get so crazy that we don’t have time to get our homes in the Christmas spirit. You know, hanging the stockings, putting out those extra special Christmas items, or lighting holiday candles!
If you are like me you have wreaths, snow globes, and a Nativity scene that are still in the closet! Some people set up Christmas villages or have other holiday decorations that are a tradition in their home.
Today’s challenge is to take 30 minutes and add some of that holiday flair to your home!
Light a candle, turn on some Christmas music and enjoy this challenge! Maybe your flair is making homemade cookies! That’s awesome! Do you have a recipe that is quick and that you could whip up?
I am going to be getting out my favorite Nativity set that is still packed away in the closet, hang a wreath and let the kids put new batteries in the light up snow globes that they love.

Jenny, I’m enjoying your series! The past two years, I didn’t put up very many Christmas decorations because I felt overwhelmed by the holidays and wanted to cut back a little. The first year, it was a relief. But last year, I missed the decorations. So this year, I blocked off a day for decorating (which spilled over into the next day) so I could take my time and enjoy the process. I’m so glad I did. Even the kids have commented about how nice it is to wake up to a house that looks and feels like Christmas.

Today we put up and decorated the tree. Since our new house is smaller, I realized we need todeclutter some Christmas decorations too. I have a bag to drop off at the thrift shop this weekend.
