I have spent many hours putting together my goals for 2015. I wanted them to be right for my family and to fit with my One Word of 2015– savor.
Spiritual Goals:
- To deepen and savor my relationship with God by going to church whenever we are home and healthy.
- To pray for each member of my family every day.
- To complete a Bible study. Have any suggestions?
Marriage Goals:
- To pursue, be present, and savor my time with my husband by having at least 2 date nights a month. We are still doing our weekly date nights but once Maddie starts Junior High in the fall with sports practices, games, and more activities I think we might have a harder time. If not, we’ll still do weekly date nights. I just don’t want to set myself up to fail!
- Go on our yearly marriage getaway.
- Write a love note to Jason once a week.
- Read 2 books on marriage this year.
Parenting Goals:
- To pursue, be present, and savor my time with my children by spending 15 minutes individually each day helping them work on something the struggle with at school, snuggling, or doing something fun.
- Write a love note to each child once a week.
Family Goals:
- Complete 3 Family Service Projects
- Write 6 letters to our Compassion International child
- To have our family pictures taken professionally
- To make each child their own photo book and have it done for Christmas.
- To get Nora, Blake, and David all reading at the level they need to be while having fun (and let Ari soak it up because she sponges off of everything they do!)
Home Goals:
- Build and move into our new home while savoring the process.
- Continue to save for unexpected expenses that incur due to the new home
- Move only items that are useful and that I love (this is going to be a hard one).
Homemaking Goals:
- Declutter 10 objects each day.
- To do a better job of meal planning and incorporating new recipes. I’ve felt like I’m in a rut the last couple of months. Do you have any new suggestions for me?
Self-Care:
- Instead of trying to lose an exact number of pounds my goal is to be more fit by increasing movement. I don’t care if it’s playing a game of soccer with the kids, walking down to get the mail, or making 40 trips up and down the stairs everyday.
- Take care of my dry hands and skin.
Personal Goals:
- To write at least 500 words a day.
- To get the stories that I’ve told the kids onto paper.
- To be a happier person by letting go of comparison, realizing that family does not always equal blood, and giving myself a break.
Womenwithintention.com Goals:
- Triple my page views from 2014.
- Double my Facebook and Twitter followers. (I’d love to connect with you! Facebook is changing how you view my posts again so make sure you go to the Women With Intention page to see everything!)
- Grow my email list. I haven’t done much with my email list in the past but this year one of my goals is to make receiving my emails fun! Expect to find tips, freebies, links to my post, and resources to help you live your life with intention!
- To continue writing what’s important to me, not what I think will help blog numbers, so I can continue to be real and authentic. This is really important to me.
- Save to have a professional redesign of the blog.
