10 Goals For The Week

November 19, 2013 by Jenny 4 Comments

Goals for the week

Last Week’s Goal Recap:

Intentional Relationships (Marriage/Parenting/Mentoring/Friendships):

1. Make Jason cheesecake.  (It’s his favorite and he’s having a minor knee surgery tomorrow so I thought it’d be a nice treat for him).

2. Figure out what them we are doing for the twins’ birthday party.  They are boy/girl so I know we are doing a princess party for our daughter but have yet to come up with something great for our son.  (I was thinking a scavenger hunt, but he only wants to do that if he gets to use a real metal detector….and they’re going to be 6!)

3. Have date night with Jason.

4. Meet with a friend to finish organizing a mother/daughter bible study group.

Intentional Homemaking:

5. Get new shelving assembled for the tomatoes I canned this summer.

6.  Find 20 things to donate to others who need them.  The holidays are coming and it’s time to share the excess with others who need it.

Intentional Self-Care:

7. Complete this week’s Bible Study Read but not completely finished

8. Get 8 hours of sleep (I’ve only been getting around 6 and can feel that I need more).  Not even close!  I’ll keep trying!

Intentional Blogging:

9. Publish 1 post each day this week

10. Put 5 posts on Pinterest

After looking at what I did accomplish, I guess where I need to work harder this week is on myself!  Last week was a little more difficult with my husband having surgery, but I’m very satisfied with what got accomplished.  I’m looking forward to knocking more goals off my list this coming week!

This Week’s Goals:

Intentional Relationships (Marriage/Parenting/Mentoring/Friendships):

1. Have a date night with Jason.

2. Send out email on beginning the girl’s bible study.

3. Read with the twins each evening.

4. Take kids to the library.

Intentional Homemaking:

4. Clean the back room so we can put up the Christmas tree next week.

5. Find 20 more items to purge from the house.

Intentional Self-Care:

6. Get a haircut.

7. Exercise twice (I have no motivation for this!)

8. Get 8 hours of sleep.

Intentional Blogging:

9. Revamp categories and tags.

10. Blog M-F at least 1 post each day.

11. Work on Preparing For Christmas series.

What are your goals for the week?  Have you written them down?  How did you do with your goals last week?

Your challenge:  Intentionally take 5 minutes and write down 5 goals you want to accomplish this week!  What are they?  Feel free to post in the comments or link up and we can encourage one another!

Good job on your goals! What bible study are you doing? I do the Good Morning Girls study, but they have breaks every few weeks, so I need to find something to do during those times.

I am doing 2 bible studies right now. Idol Lies: Facing the Truth about Our Deepest Desires by Dee Brestin has really been a growing experience for me. I went from thinking this study didn’t really relate to me, to oh my I guess I have many idols! I have really enjoyed this study. I think this would be a good study to do on your own and her videos are free online to go with each chapter. I’m also doing Lord, I Want to Know You: A Devotional Study on the Names of God by Kay Arthur. I’m only about 1/4 of the way through this one and am working through it with a friend. Thanks for your comment and good luck finding the right study for you!
