It’s a new week! Time for new goals, new experiences and hopefully a lot of fun! We have a really busy week this week. We are finally headed to Nora’s eye specialist appointment. I know we won’t have an exact answer but I’m excited to know the next direction. A few other fun things this week are that Maddie has a basketball tournament which is always fun to watch, the kids have a day off of school on Friday that I’m looking forward to and we have a lot of appointments to make regarding our house.
I have an enormous goal list this week. To be honest, I know I will be lucky to accomplish 75% of my list but if I do, that is a lot!
Last Week’s Goals:
Spiritual Goals:
- To go to church on Sunday. We ended up staying out of town the entire weekend so it didn’t happen as we were traveling back this morning. I will definitely be checking out some podcasts tomorrow!
To pray for each member of my family every day.
Marriage Goals:

Read 2 Chapters in Happy Habits for Every Couple. I received this book from Kathi to review and I’m so excited about it!
Parenting Goals:
Spend 15 minutes individually each day with the kids helping them work on something that they are struggling on at school, snuggling, or doing a fun project.Write a love note to each child.Bake Chocolate Sheet Cake with the kids for Valentine’s Day
Family Goals:
Read 1 chapter in The Original Adventures of Hank the Cowdog.- Write letter to our Compassion International Child
Homemaking Goals:
Clean PorchFind 5 things to list on Facebook to selland get them on it.Create a meal plan and stick to it.Research Aldi- I’m going shopping there in a few weeks for the first time when we take Nora to the vision therapist. I’m super excited about it..yes things like that do it for me!Start price list for house project
Self-Care:
- Drink 8 glasses of water each day
Take care of my dry hands and skin.- Get on the elliptical three times.
Personal Goals:
To write at least 500 words a day.- Read Chapters 11-13 in Clutter Free: Quick and Easy Steps to Simplifying Your Space

- Clean our Master Bedroom! After being gone all weekend and having a bunch of piled up laundry it’s a mess!
- Read 1 Chapter in Happy Habits for Every Couple.
Parenting Goals:
- Spend 15 minutes individually each day with the kids helping them work on something that they are struggling on at school, snuggling, or doing a fun project.
- Write a love note to each child.
- Figure out when we can have Maddie’s birthday party. It’s hard to believe she will be turning 12 in a little over a month! You can read 12 Things I Wish I’d Known As A New Mom here! One thing for sure is that kids really do grow up fast.
- Schedule next Tiger Cubs meeting.
Family Goals:
- Take the kids swimming and enjoy our “family day”.
- Head to the library for new books and dvd’s.
Homemaking Goals:
- Go through kitchen quotes
- Create a meal plan and stick to it.
- Make a list for ALDI
- Print out pictures from this last weekend
- Take aluminum cans to recycling
- Take 3 bags of stuff to donate to charity
Self-Care:
- Drink 6 glasses of water each day. I bought some new stickers off of Etsy to remind me that go in my planner. I hope that will help! 🙂
- Take care of my dry hands and skin.
- Get on the elliptical two times.

Great goal list! You did well last week.
Aldi is so worth the trip! I always walk out with a cart full of groceries for a shockingly low amount. Just look at the fruit carefully. 🙂 Great deals on produce, but it’s not always top notch.
What’s the power hour goal for your blog?

Emily, I try to have a power hour every week. (Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t). I sit down with my editorial calendar, revise, add, and delete posts. I start looking for pictures for my posts for the week. I develop my goals for the next week and check in on how I’m doing, make sure I’ve checked in with my tribe…etc. Basically it’s an hour of total catch up and trying to get ahead! 🙂
