Goals For The Week

(This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy here.)

Goals For The WeekEach Monday I list my goals for the coming week in the following categories: Spiritual, Marriage, Parenting, Family, Personal, and Women With Intention (goals for the blog). I’ve decided to change the format a little of how I’ve listed them in the past because I felt like I was posting many of the same goals each week.

Do you use categories when you set your goals like this?  I like to do it this way because it really helps me break down my goals.

Last week, I really bombed most of my goals.  The weather was beautiful.  We spent a lot of time outside so I didn’t get quite a few of them done.  I’m hoping for a little better productivity this week!  How was your week last week?

Last Week’s Goals:

Spiritual Goals:

  • Start new Bible Study on Hospitality- Nope, I was ready to and couldn’t find where I had put the study (that tells you the condition of my house last week.  Yikes!)  I am really excited to start this study and I’m going to dive in tonight!

Marriage Goals:

  • Have an in-house date night.
  • Write a love note to Jason.
  • Start birthday and anniversary shopping (I have over a month but want to find something special).  I made a small list so it’s a start!

Parenting Goals:

  • Schedule in 3 “fun” things to do with the kids this week. We had a lot of fun this week.  We had a “Sorry” game night, went to the library, went to a hockey game (we even got to sit in a suite where it was just our family…how awesome is that?), we made chocolate chip cookie dough shakes, and had a lot of family time.  It was a good week!
  • Pick up Nora’s new bifocal lenses. I realized yesterday that the office never called to let me know if they were in or not.  I’ll have to make a phone call this morning!
  • Do 4 things to encourage kindness as a family this week.

Family Goals:

  • Make sure everyone gets enough sleep.
  • Enjoy a birthday dinner for Maddie with my extended family.
  • Finish Junie B., First Grader: Toothless Wonder (Junie B. Jones, No. 20)

Homemaking Goals:

  • Work for 30 minutes on paper clutter.
  • Shop for a new file cabinet
  • Buy Maddie’s birthday present
  • Clean refrigerator
  • Clean out 2 cupboards

Self-Care:

  • Take care of my dry hands and skin.
  • Get on the at least elliptical three times.
  • Go on 3 walks.

Personal Goals:

  • Read 4 chapters of Own Your Life: Living with Deep Intention, Bold Faith, and Generous Love.
  • Read 2 Chapters of Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World

Womenwithintention.com Goals:

  • Begin new 31 day series (I’m so excited about this! I’ve worked on it all day and I think we will all love it and it can be life changing!)  I decided to hold off on this until April 1st because I am starting a different series about “Renew and Refresh” today!  It’s going to be awesome (as is the series in April)!  Stay tuned!
  • Pin links from Women With Intention Wednesday.  I got really behind so I am finished with WWIW #10 and still need to finish #11 before Wednesday!  It’s progress, please hang with me!  🙂

This Week’s Goals:

Spiritual Goals:

  • Start new Bible Study on Hospitality

Marriage Goals:

  • Have a date night.
  • Write a love note to Jason.
  • Continue birthday and anniversary shopping (I have over a month but want to find something special).
  • Enjoy our trip to Omaha alone.  We have to go back this week see what the doctor’s are recommending for Nora and are going without kids!  It’s going to be a rushed trip but I’m looking forward to the talk time!  It’s spring so I’m starting to see less and less of my husband as he is getting fields ready and we are still having baby calves!

Parenting Goals:

  • Schedule in 3 “fun” things to do with the kids this week. This is a busy week with kids having a lot of activities.  I’m planning on a fun birthday supper for Maddie that everyone will help cook, a math game night, and banana splits.
  • Pick up Nora’s new bifocal lenses.
  • Do 4 things to encourage kindness as a family this week.

Family Goals:

  • Make sure everyone gets enough sleep.
  • Finish Junie B., First Grader: Toothless Wonder (Junie B. Jones, No. 20)

Homemaking Goals:

  • Work for 30 minutes on paper clutter.
  • Shop for a new file cabinet
  • Buy Maddie’s birthday present

  • Read 2 Chapters of Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World

Womenwithintention.com Goals:

  • Begin new “renew and refresh” series.  You’re going to love it and finish introduction to April’s challenge!
  • Pin links from Women With Intention Wednesday
  • Finish 2 posts
