Welcome to a new week! I am one of those strange people who like Mondays because it’s a fresh start!
I thought I was going to have the morning to myself but it turns out I have 2 sick kiddos home with me today. So it’s going to be a cuddle up and read books kind of day which is ok with me!
Yesterday I shared on Facebook how I recently started reading I Know How She Does It: How Successful Women Make the Most of Their Time by Laura Vanderkam. I’ve been very intrigued by how women shy away from big dreams because of the fear of not being able to devote time to their families. Many of us carry the shield of “I’m too busy” when other women who are just as busy as we are make time to do the things we say we are too busy for.
It seems no matter what we plan for the week, there are always interruptions to the plan whether it’s a sick child, needing to work late one evening, or a forgotten activity. I will be tracking my time for the next 7 days to see exactly where my time goes and how these detours to my daily routine work with or against my goals! Stay tuned!
Last week I bombed several goals but also accomplished several of the more important ones. I don’t ever waste time fretting about goals that didn’t get crossed off because I know that by setting them, I will accomplish more than if I didn’t set any!
Here are my goals from last week:
Marriage:
Have a date!
Parenting:
Follow-up therapy with Nora.10 minutes of Math 5 times.- 20 minutes of reading each night. Wasn’t perfect but better than none at all!
Self-Care:
- Get a massage. Got rescheduled
Begin the new It Works! System and Hair, Skin, & Nails. I’m so excited to start this new System! I’ve been waiting (very impatiently) for my System to get here.Exercise 4 times.
Personal Growth:
Finish PUSH: 30 Days to Turbocharged Habits, a Bangin’ Body, and the Life You Deserve! by Chalene Johnson. I’m 1/2 way there! If you’ve done her 30 Day Push Challenge this is very similar but I’m getting some really good new information, too!
Homemaking:
- Clean laundry room. This has been the catch-all for our stuff that doesn’t have a home yet and for some of our builder’s stuff. Not after this week!
Take down Ari’s old bed (she’s getting a new one on Tuesday).- List 5 things to sell on Facebook. Forgot to do this!
Women With Intention:
- Get post written for Facebook party on Monday, January 25th! Detoured by sickness.
Set up scheduled campaign on Board Booster.Complete Unit 3 of class.- Contact 3 potential sponsors.
It Works:
Follow up with 3 customers.Contact 3 potential clients.- Get all party materials put away.

- Exercise 4 times. I checked out Jillian Michaels Beginner Shred from the library. I’m trying to mix up my exercise and not just jump on the elliptical. Last week I tried 10 Minute Solution: Blast Off Belly Fat and it hurt to sneeze for 3 days! Guess the belly fat needs some help! 🙂
