It’s the first day of Fall!
Are you ready for cooler weather, soups and stews, crockpot meals, warm blankets, and pumpkin-spiced everything?
Even though I dread winter, I love the changing colors of fall, picking pumpkins with my kids (we also usually make “Squash People” (a tradition I’ve done since I was a kid with my Grandma) where we decorate squash and make them into people with markers, material, and other craft supplies (Grandma had to use up those squash somehow), and I am love soup!
Because life gets so busy, I love creating bucket lists to post on the refrigerator. When a weekend comes, we can find something on the list that we love to do and cross it off. It helps me stay on track with traditions I want to do with my kids and the season doesn’t get away from me before we do those things.

My favorite fall tradition that’s not listed above is simply swapping out the decor. I love our summer stuff, but there’s something wonderful about pulling out nubby throw blankets and sofa pillows, heavier curtains, and scented candles. The living room immediately feels cozier.

What a beautiful idea to print out your fall bucket list. The main thing on my bucket list this season is to get my youngest daughter married! Her wedding is coming up and we’re all ready for it to get here. 🙂
