Each week, I try to find several ways to save money. It’s not only a fun challenge for me, but it is also important for our finances! Here are 4 simple ways I saved money this week:
1. I shared the ePantry deal with some friends and now not only they are getting a credit to save on environmentally friendly cleaning products like 7th Generation, Mrs. Meyers, and Method products but, I also received credits to save on future purchases.
2. I redeemed my Ebates check! $46.44 is not the largest check I’ve ever redeemed from Ebates (this was earned just shopping for Christmas presents and doing my Christmas cards online) but I’ll take almost $50 that all I had to do was click on the Ebates link anyday!
3. I didn’t go to the grocery store! I have been without several of my regular grocery items (like hamburger buns) all week. Instead of going to the store to grab a package, we’ve done without. Not earth shattering rocket science, but by eating out of the pantry and using up other things we did have, I saved money not going to the grocery store.
4. I supported Blake’s Cub Scout den and bought some coupon booklets to Herbergers. With these coupons I was able to get 3 Melissa & Doug floor puzzles for $2.99 each! The kids have really been talking about different places in the U.S. so I was excited to get the map in order to answer some of those questions with an image! I’m going to be using these to fill Easter baskets and for a gift for a friends’ son! I also was able to get a shirt for each of the twins, 3 pairs of pants for David and 2 for Arianna. All of this cost $52.34 (I almost stayed under my Ebates check)!

I love it! I’ve been trying to decide if I should share the ePantry deal or not, but you are making me think I should. And isn’t getting cash back on online purchases awesome? And I love how you skipped the grocery store and just did without. Sometimes it’s amazing how much we can improvise when we have to. 🙂
