The Cajun chicken and mushrooms looks amazing! Is it one of the new recipes? Let me know what you guys think!

I am on the search for the perfect meal plan and this does look good! Your lunches look more elaborate than most, do you make them from scratch everyday?? And do you post every monday morning? Are all of the recipes found in your archives?
Thanks!
Jenny says
I make most of our lunches from scratch. My husband and I (plus 2 kids) are home everyday for lunch together. I post my meal plan every Monday usually right after lunch (goals are in the morning and meal plan is in the afternoon). Some of the recipes are listed under “intentional in the kitchen” and then under “master meal plan list.” I’ve only been blogging since November so I try to add at least 1-2 every week. Thank you for stopping by, hope you will be back!

Awesome thanks! Are the breakfast items from scratch as well? What is your budget? Thanks again!!
Jenny says
Yes I make our breakfast from scratch as well! My farmer likes to eat well. 🙂 I used to be the queen of grocery shopping before I had the last two kids and I’m trying to get back on track of being a little more thrifty, so I’m trying to stay under $100 a week for a family of 7. (I made it last week and that also included toiletries). We have our own beef so that helps tremendously (and is also why most of my dishes have beef in them!)
Jennifer Hoffman says
That is great, good job momma! Yes that was my guess on the beef because I know around here that is the most expensive thing and rarely going on sale! (I live in Philadelphia so I can’t do much of the whole farming thing!) Do you grow all your own fruits and veggies as well?
Jenny says
Yes, that would make it difficult 🙂 We don’t grow any fruit (I’ve tried strawberries and failed miserably but I’m going to try again this year.) Last year my husband’s uncle grew melons and they were delicious. I grow potatoes, egg plant, peppers, tomatoes and onions. I’ve tried carrots and green beans but the soil at our house doesn’t seem to work very well for it. Jason plants enough sweet corn to feed about 10 families so as long as we don’t have hail we have lots to put up every year. I’m hoping this year to try some new veggies. Our kids are in activities galore in the summer so it makes it hard to keep up on the garden, but it is so good in the winter when it’s cold here!
