Welcome back to my 31 Days of Decluttering In December! If you have missed any days in this series, no problem! You can find each day here!
We are 7 days away from Christmas! How is your home looking? I hope today’s project will help clean and organize your home even more!
Today we will be organizing and decluttering your hobbies, crafts, and supplies for 30 minutes. If you have more time than that, great! Keep going, otherwise do what you can for 30 minutes and be done.
I don’t know about you but I love PAPER. Pretty paper, things to decorate paper with (washi tape, markers, and anything else to make paper pretty)! However, without organization, this is a MESSY situation.
Maybe paper isn’t your problem, it’s sewing or jewelry making supplies. Fabric scraps, sewing supplies, beads, and patterns can quickly turn into mess without a plan to keep it organized!
Maybe you love supplies? Art supplies, tools, or collections of hobbies have your home in disarray. Are you in need of some organization?
Before you start today, here are a few things to consider:
- Do you use everything that is in your crafting area? Do you love all of the paper, fabric or supplies that you have? If not, what can go?
- How much out of your supplies are you actually going to ever use? Do you buy things on sale that you have no idea what you will do with them? Let them go to someone who will use them instead of sitting in a box!
- Are all of your supplies in one area? If not, can you put them all in one area? It will be easier to find what you need, know what you are out of, what you have duplicates of, and what you should purchase next time you get a crafting itch!
- Sort like items with like items. Scissors go with scissors, paper with paper, and washi tape with washi tape.
- Do you need to buy some type of storage to keep your things in so it is organized and not getting ruined?
What is your best tip for organizing your crafts, hobbies and supplies? Leave a comment and let us know!
