Happy Memorial Day! I hope you are spending some intentional time remembering those who have served our country and maybe even getting to spend some time with loved ones today!
Have you ever had one of those weeks that nothing went as planned? That was my week! Very little went according to plan but God’s always in control, right? It rained enough last week to postpone most of the ball games, Jason wasn’t able to get in the field, and the weather even changed our Memorial Day plans. We had to get a little creative being cooped up in the house but thanks to having a Rainy Day Kit, the kids had fun inside and for the most part was a very successful first week of summer vacation.
Most of my goals got scrapped last week which happens sometimes, the important part is that instead of giving up, you try again!

This Week’s Goals:
Spiritual Goals:
- Pray each day
- Go to church on Sunday.
Marriage Goals:
- Write a love note to Jason.
Family Goals:
- Celebrate Ari’s birthday!
- Start week one of character building
- Complete week 7 of vision therapy exercises at home with Nora.
- Print out homeschool activities for week.
Homemaking Goals:
- Sell $25 worth of stuff on Facebook exchange
- Pack/declutter 5 boxes of stuff
Self-Care:
- Track weight in Erin Condren planner.
- Eat 3 servings of fruit each day
- Get a good night’s sleep each night. With Jason going back out into the field and all of the ball games, I need to make sure I maintain good sleep in order to be a good mom and a healthy mom each day!
Personal Goals:
- Track my time (this didn’t work last week so I’m starting over this week).
- Read 2 chapters of The Desire Map: A Guide to Creating Goals with Soul. I’m really excited about this book! I’ve been wanting to buy it for 3 months and finally rewarded myself after accomplishing one of my other goals this month! 🙂
- Read 2 chapters of The 80/20 Principle: The Secret to Achieving More with Less
- Listen to 4 podcasts during drive time and when folding laundry
