As many of you know, I love journals (especially, pretty journals)! I’m going to show you a very quick and easy way to cover a boring Composition Notebook with fabric to make it more fun and fit the personality of the person who will love using it! These work great for keeping in your purse, for prayer journals, and for fun, small gifts! (I’m making these for my notebook-obsessed children who want to be sure everyone knows which notebook belongs to which child!)
Materials Needed:
Composition Notebook
Fabric (large enough to wrap around composition notebook)
Spray Adhesive
Rotary Cutter & Mat
Iron & Ironing Board
Directions:
-
Iron your fabric to get all of the wrinkles out of the material
-
Once the fabric is wrinkle-free, take your Composition Notebook and lay it on the material. Be sure that the front of the fabric is facing down so when you wrap the Composition Notebook with it, the right side of the fabric is showing.
-
Spray the back cover of the notebook with adhesive and attach to the fabric.
-
Once the back cover is attached, spray the front cover and spine with adhesive. Before attaching make sure the Composition Notebook is completely flat to avoid wrinkles in the fabric.
-
After the adhesive is dry, check to be sure the notebook is all adhered to the fabric. Sometimes the corners will need an extra small spray of adhesive to keep them stuck together.
-
Take your rotary cutter and mat and trim off all excess material by going around the notebook as close as possible.
Lovely! I am all about notebooks, I love writing in them… And now they can be perfect for every occasion!
I’d love for you to share this (and any other posts you want!) in my Cozy Reading Spot a link up for those who love reading and writing…
