This Baked French Toast recipe was handed down from my Aunt. This is one of our family’s favorites for a special breakfast or brunch!
1 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. melted butter
2 tsp. cinnamon
6 eggs, lightly beaten
1 3/4 c. milk
1 loaf French bread cut into 1″ slices
1. Preheat oven to 350º.
2. Combine brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon. Spread evenly in a 15″ x 10″ x 1″ greased baking pan. Set aside.
3. Combine eggs & milk in a shallow dish and soak bread for 5 minutes. Turn once. Place bread over sugar mixture.
4. Baked uncovered for 25-30 minutes. Serve upside down and dust with powdered sugar.
