Each week when Wednesday rolls around I can help but think, “It seems like I just did the last link-up!” I guess the cliché of time flies when you’re having fun is true.
As much as I love blogging, this summer I’ve been called to do things differently than the last 2 and that’s to spend more time with my family and less time blogging. I feel like my seasons are changing as a woman, blogger, wife, and business owner. Some changes have been easy and some hard but I’ve called this my summer of delight.
Delight is my one word of 2016. I’ve done my best to focus on delighting in the small things of life as well as new and big things which has led to a major shake up in my personal life and my blogging world! (And yes, most of them involve animals for at least the next week until fair is over!)
Since I haven’t been writing, I thought I’d share a few delights from this summer. I hope you enjoy! I’ll be back to regular blogging one of these days! 🙂
Happy Wednesday! Thanks for joining in the party!
Welcome to Women With Intention Wednesdays!
Welcome to a new week of Women With Intention! I’m very happy to feature Susan from Hope Heart Home with her post Unplugged & Disconnected. Check it out, it’s a good one!
Welcome to Women With Intention Wednesdays!
Here is what you will find at Women With Intention Wednesdays:
- This is a link up party where you come to encourage one another, have fun, and share your best posts to help women live their best life!
- In other words, any post that you have written about Christian living, homemaking, relationships, healthy living, living a frugal life or that helps another woman can be included in this link up! Please just them family friendly (I reserve the right to remove anything that I feel isn’t appropriate).
- This link up is beneficial for every woman! Whether you are a blogger or a reader, this is one you won’t want to miss! I’m very excited to offer this link up as a place to not only build new relationships between bloggers but also by providing an awesome resource of information for my readers!
Here are the rules of this link up:
- You must link directly to your post (no homepages, please).
- Please link up no more than 2 posts each week and please do not link up the same post week after week.
-
For every link you add, please visit the link before you and one other of your choice. If your links are consecutive visit the blogger before you and your choice for the 2nd link. It’s impossible to build relationships when no one communicates! Please don’t link and run!
- By linking up you give me permission to share your posts and photos on this blog and social media. Each week I will choose a featured blogger and possibly another post such as the most popular post. I will only feature you and the most popular posts if you have followed the rules (otherwise I’ll move on to the next most popular post). All features will be linked back to the original source.
- You also give me permission to email you a quick reminder that the party is live. You may opt out anytime. I don’t spam my readers with emails.
- Answer the community building question below so we all get to know each other! That’s the purpose of being here! 🙂
I’d love for you to add a button to help spread the word about Women With Intention Wednesdays (thank you)!
If you were featured, please feel free to grab this button!
They vote for twist because that’s what 8 year olds do! I vote for chocolate! 🙂
Have you enjoyed what you read here today? Do you have friends or other women you know that could benefit from this resource? If so, please do me a favor! I have included the links below to share with other intentional women! They’ll be glad you did!

I love chocolate! No contest! We’ve been adding some peanut butter in with our chocolate ice cream this summer and it’s delicious!

I love that you are having a summer of delight! And, imagine the delight I had when I saw my Unplugged & Disconnected featured!!! Thanks Jenny – now you go enjoy those children, that husband, and those animals and don’t give the blogosphere one minute of your attention!!! xo YOU ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING.

That is my kind of summer! Experiences like those are ones that the kiddos won’t forget!
We are a small farm family so animals (goats, horses, pigs, chickens, and honeybees) are always involved. My husband and I met in college where we were both pursuing agriculture degrees and one of our first classes together was a Livestock Management class where we cared for sheep all summer…We decided to never own sheep after that. haha.
Jenny says
Oh I so get the not wanting to own any. We are really lucky because my husband’s uncle raises them so we get ours from him. 🙂 I will say though, once they are tame they act kind of like dogs (just not very smart ones lol)!! 🙂 Thanks for joining in! 🙂

That picture on the four-wheeler says it all!! Pure delight on those girls’ faces. What a blessing! Keep up the phenomenal work, Mama!
Emily says
Are there toppings involved? If so, I’ll take vanilla.
No toppings, I’ll take twist. 🙂
Rebekah Neal says
Chocolate, usually. 🙂 I’ve fairly recently been introduced to frozen custard and it is so delicious!!! 🙂
Keri says
Chocolate!! I have the same mentality this summer- the rest has been so good!
