Good morning! I don’t know about you, but it feels like last Monday was 2 days ago!
Last week went by so fast! Did you have a good week? We finalized our flooring, spent a lot of time browsing for lights and really worked with Nora on her therapy (we have a big appointment today).
What do you have happening this week?
Here are my 5 Things I Love from last week:

1. The main floor of our house is painted!
I get really nervous choosing paint colors. They never seem to look like the swatches when they are on the wall and 50% of the time I’m disappointed. Not this time! I am so thrilled with the colors we chose!
2. A new author to me…Holley Gerth!
I know, where have I been? I had an amazon gift card that I wanted to use up so I bought myself 2 new treats: You’re Made for a God-Sized Dream: Opening the Door to All God Has for You and You’re Loved No Matter What: Freeing Your Heart from the Need to Be Perfect. All of Holley’s books get exceptional reviews and I can’t wait to dive in!
3. Holiday Candy!
My love affair with chocolate peaks each holiday when Reese’s comes out with peanut butter pumpkins, Snicker’s Easter eggs, and Starburst jelly beans (not chocolate, still yummy)!
4. Sports!
Maddie had her first junior high volleyball game last week. It was so fun watching her play and see how much her class has improved from last year.
5. Mason jar lights!
I’ve looked all over for lights. I’m leaning towards Mason jar lights for my kitchen island. They aren’t the brightest but we put in a lot of canned lights so I think they’d work. Do any of you have Mason jar lights in your kitchen?
Life is never dull at my house! What did you love last week?
Last Weeks Goals
Spiritual Goals:
Make time for God each day.- Send a letter to our Compassion International child.
Marriage Goals:
Have a date night!Shut computer off by 10 PM each night to have some downtime before bed.I wasn’t perfect, but did better than I usually do! This is a good goal to keep aiming at!
Family Goals:
Continue Vision Therapy for Nora. We have a big evaluation next week. I’m praying that they tell us that she will finish her therapy early! Extra prayers are appreciated!Well we aren’t finished yet, but had a terrific appointment today. Believe it or not, one of our last tasks is for Nora to be able to ride her bike. Guess what we’re going to be working on the next month? 🙂Stick to bed times!- KonMari all of our coats and shoes.
Stay on top of allergies.
Homemaking Goals:
- List 5 pairs of shoes and 5 coats on Facebook
Get all flooring picked out for the new house.- Take aluminum cans to recycling
- Try 3 new recipes!
- M
ake a detailed grocery list and stick to it at the store (I’ve been slacking on this lately and ironically ran out of flour when making cookies yesterday. Did you see my Instagram disaster? Yep it was those cookies…I should have known it was bad when I had to use oatmeal after running out of flour!)
Self-Care:
Watch my water intake.Exercise 5 times and write it down in my weight loss journal.Pick healthy choices for snacks
Personal Goals:
Snuggle with the family. My kids are growing up and even though they are all adjusting fine to school, seem like they need extra attention right now. I want to make sure they get it!Cut myself some slack. Almost everyone in my house feels yucky and after dealing with their needs, I’m tired. No staying up extra late or beating myself up if I don’t get all of these done!

Oooh, I love that mason jar light. I don’t know if you’re crafty or not, but you might be able to find instructions on the web to make something like that. I <3 Holley Gerth. I've read "You're Already Loved No Matter What." Love her calm tone. 🙂 ~ Best to you ~
