Today’s challenge was organizing and decluttering the dining room.
I started with the ceiling. The ceiling in our dining room is the same shake-shingle ceiling we have in our living room. Dusty…yuck!
Then I moved to the table. Our dining room is used as an office/homework/study area/catch all for everything that makes it out of the kitchen. We very rarely eat in the dining room except for when we have people over. There were old school papers, my laptop, a stack of coupons that I needed to cut out, and some random toys that needed put away.
I was happy with the result and hopefully tomorrow I’ll get the iron out and attack that table cloth!
Finally, I decluttered and organized our built in bookcase. We don’t keep dishes on it, we keep office supplies and things that the kids need for homework. I did make a note on my phone to look for something pretty next time I’m shopping in order to detour clutter!
How did you do on organizing and decluttering your dining room today?
