Are you worried, troubled, or stressed about something going on in your life?
Have you been fighting with your husband, yelling at your children, or had a disagreement with a family member that has caused a lot of heartache? Have you had a health scare that is causing you stress?
I have my first mammogram today and although I don’t expect anything abnormal or irregular about it, I’ve been very nervous. My dad’s sister passed away from breast cancer several years ago so it’s important that I start them early. If I was being completely honest, I’ve lost some sleep about it and really don’t want to go.
We all have times that are hard, circumstances that we have no control over, and often don’t know what to do (or there isn’t anything we can do) to make the situation better. During times of trouble we are always blessed by God’s word.
Here are 3 Bible verses for when your heart is burdened that will help you feel God’s love and that I hope will encourage you:
What are your favorite verses for when your heart is troubled?
Welcome to Women With Intention Wednesdays!
Welcome back to another great week of community building and support for one another!
Oh ladies, we had another week of great posts! This week I have 2 featured posts! The first comes from Melanie with Finding HOPE During Seasons of Loneliness. The second is Jenny with her post Comparing Leads To Jealousy.
Thank you all for giving me such great posts to read each week! Keep them coming!
Here is what you will find at Women With Intention Wednesdays:
- This is a link up party where you come to encourage one another, have fun, and share your best posts to help women live their best life!
- In other words, any post that you have written about Christian living, homemaking, relationships, healthy living, living a frugal life or that helps another woman can be included in this link up! Please just them family friendly (I reserve the right to remove anything that I feel isn’t appropriate).
- This link up is beneficial for every woman! Whether you are a blogger or a reader, this is one you won’t want to miss! I’m very excited to offer this link up as a place to not only build new relationships between bloggers but also by providing an awesome resource of information for my readers!
Here are the rules of this link up:
- You must link directly to your post (no homepages, please).
- Please link up no more than 2 posts each week and please do not link up the same post week after week.
-
For every link you add, please visit the link before you and one other of your choice. If your links are consecutive visit the blogger before you and your choice for the 2nd link. It’s impossible to build relationships when no one communicates! Please don’t link and run!
- By linking up you give me permission to share your posts and photos on this blog and social media. Each week I will choose a featured post. I will only feature and pin your post if you have followed the rules. All features will be linked back to the original source.
- You also give me permission to email you a quick reminder that the party is live. You may opt out anytime. I don’t spam my readers with emails.
- Answer the community building question below so we all get to know each other! That’s the purpose of being here! 🙂
In order to help grow this community with great posts and relationships, I would love it if you would add the party button to your sidebar, your blog directory page, or a text link at the bottom of your post. This isn’t required to participate in the link-up but I would really appreciate it!
If you were featured be sure to grab a button for your site! Thank you for linking up and sharing your great posts!

Community building question of the week: Do you (a) fold fitted sheets correctly (b) ball them up and throw them in your closet or drawer, (c) fold them as nice as you can and go with it or (d) something different?
I would be a “b” or “c” girl depending on if I’m in a hurry! I’ve always wanted to master folding them correctly but haven’t seem to have found the patience to do it! How about you?
Amanda says
It shouldn’t be this way, but unfortunately it depends on my schedule and my mood. If I am pressed for time or patience, I usually just roll up the fitted sheet and throw it in the linen closet. If I have more time I try my best to fold it. Then I put it in the linen closet. Either way it doesn’t look right. I should be consistent and not let my mood or schedule dictate how I handle my duties.
Jenny says
I have been known to stuff them in the closet when I’m in a hurry, too. One of these days I’ll figure out that it takes just as much time later to fix it as it does saving those few minutes when I did it! 🙂 Have a great day, Amanda and thanks for linking up!
a spirit of simplicity says
I had my first mammogram last year. The first side was fine but the machine broke while they were doing the second side! They were so upset and apologetic. It was kind of unpleasant. But, I told them I was in so much better shape than some of the other women there. Having to come back to get it done again…and not hearing bad news….that wasn’t such a bad thing for me. So…if you are looking for a laugh while you are in there remember me stuck in there. 🙂
Jenny says
What an experience! Yes, I will be keeping you in mind when mine starts in an hour! 🙂
Michele Morin says
I do the best I can. It’s always one of those things I MEAN TO improve on, but really . . .
Jenny says
LOL Michelle! I love the but really…. isn’t there always something that’s more important than sheets? 🙂 Thanks for linking and have a great day!
Kelsey Ferguson says
Ha! Love this question. . . I do the best I can, but rarely down it look nice. Sometimes, I end up folding it semi-well and stuffing it in it’s matching pillow case. Seems good enough. Thanks for hosting and sharing those beautiful verses. 🙂 I hope you are having a great day. 🙂
Jenny says
Thanks for linking up, Kelsey! Have a great day! 🙂
Keri says
haha what a great question! I do the best that I can! I actually need to get some more sheets! We have a lot of extra twin sets but no extra queen.
Jenny says
I have way more twin than I do queen as well (I think because they are cute and more fun to buy)! Thanks for linking up, Keri!
Emily says
Ha! I love this. I am: (c) fold them as nice as you can and go with it.
My grandma used to fold them up like you wouldn’t believe! We used to joke that she could get a sheet set in a manila envelope. 🙂 Not me!
Angela Gilmore says
I try to fold them neatly, but I usually have to just go with the best I can! Happy Wednesday!
Melanie Redd says
Hey Jenny,
Thanks for sharing these verses today! I love all three.
Matthew 11 really speaks to my heart often. I can picture Jesus standing there saying, “Come to Me.”
And, thanks for hosting the weekly like up. I’m meeting so many great friends and sisters!
One other thing… you have really blessed me today by featuring my post. I was at a sort of “down” blogging moment last night when I got your email about being featured. Sometimes, I guess we can start wondering if our words are making any impact.
Your gesture was like a hug from the Father and a sweet confirmation. Thanks for letting God use you~
Your life refreshes mine~

C! Even though I know how to “A” from working in hospitality settings : P
Tona says
I am a C all the way. I try to make it look as nice as possible but I know if my great-grandmother was still alive and she saw it, she would make me start again. lol

I love John 16: 33. I know He has overcome the world. I am glad I found your linkup. Thanks for hosting. 😉 Please link up at my site so my readers will know about it at : http://www.maryanderingcreatively.com/literacy-musing-moms-library-tips/
Jenny says
Welcome! I’m glad you hopped in! The link up happens every Wednesday! Hope to see you back 🙂
Summer says
Loved these verses and needed to hear them today! Also, I think I have my own method of haphazard folding. It looks folded to me, but might be considered more smooshed together, haha! As long as its tucked far enough back in the closet and clean, it’s a win! 😉
Jenny says
Glad to have helped, Summer! Have a blessed day 🙂
