There is nothing like the support of a bunch of girl friends. Whether you are married or single, friendships are so important to our well-being. I have some great friends who are married and some who are single.
The other day, I had a great chat with a few of my single friends and we were talking about Valentine’s Day. When you are single, Valentine’s Day can be a day of yuck, not of love. It doesn’t have to be that way! Instead of feeling alone, we got to talking about how to make it not only fun, but a Valentine’s Day to remember.
Here are 10 fun girls’ night activities. I’d love to know what you would add on to the list!
1. Host a progressive supper. Some of my single friends love to cook but because they’re single, don’t do so very often. We thought it would be fun for each person to be involved in the cooking process. It’s a great chance to make something fancy and show off your cooking skills! For a progressive supper, you start at one home and have appetizers. When the appetizers are finished, you grab your friends and head to the next friend’s home for the next part of the meal. (If you have several friends, a few could pitch in to help with the main entrée!) By the end of the evening you will have had an entire meal, and can end up somewhere to socialize, play games, or watch a movie. Whatever it is that your friends like to do together!
2. Have a movie night. Comedies always are uplifting and everyone enjoys a good laugh! You could do an Adam Sandler theme or each bring a movie that you love. Don’t forget the fun snacks including popcorn and candy!
3. Host a chocolate tasting party! I listed this as an at-home date you could do but I also think it’d be fun to do with a bunch of girlfriends. I love chocolate, so do my friends, so why not have some fun with trying some new chocolates? You can print the mat tasting printable from The Dating Divas to get you started. If you are looking for some tasty new chocolates to try for your tasting party, check out Lindt, Ferrero, Godiva, Ghirardelli, Leonidas, Bruyerre, Valrhona, and Guylian. Remember, not all chocolate is created equal! 🙂
4. Grab your aprons and host Cupcake Wars! If you don’t want to go to the work of making the cupcakes, many grocery stores like Hy-Vee sell their frosting separately so you can buy the frosting to decorate with. Form some teams and have a blast making some tasty and fun cupcakes!
5. Have a makeover night with hair, manicures, and pedicures. Grab your besties, some fun drinks and music and make each other gorgeous! Don’t forget the face masks! We enjoy waxing our hands and feet to have some added luxury to the experience!
6. Head to the spa with your friends. Enjoy some massages and relaxation while enjoying some great self-care!
7. Host a fondue party. Have everyone bring something that goes along with your fondue theme!
8. It’s time to finally create your favorite pin with a Pinterest Party! Have everyone bring a project they’ve been wanting to work on and help each other create that new project!
9. Host a slumber party just like you had when you were a kid. Stay up late, watch movies, paint each other’s nails, and have a great time!
10. Dance, dance! Get together with your friends and have a dance party! Enjoy your evening sweating and laughing that only can happen with a great group of friends!
Everyone needs friend time! Enjoy your time together and I can’t wait to know what you would add to this list! Let me know in the comments!

Girls night is a great idea! A group of women in my age group get together every few months for dinner out. It’s always a good time.
When I was single my one friend and I would host a fancy dinner party and we asked everyone to get dressed up and we made a night of it. It was fun 🙂
As always, you have some really awesome tips, thanks 🙂
